The Boy Better Know bothers JME & Skepta recently returned from a trip to New York with the BBC. They appeared on the Westwood NYC show over the holiday season. A few forums and radio call in shows have seen people again not too happy with Tim Westwood.
Complaints include the lack of grime instrumentals and the slightly patronising way Westwood introduced JME and Skepta more as competition winners than actual stars of the UK underground. 'One day, you could be as big as LL, guys.' And also, why didn't Jim Jones and LL freestyle too - we wanted some US/ UK battling!
Although you got to give credit where credit is due..Westwood didn't need to take BBK to the US and he has had many UK artists on his show recently allowing them to gain exposure..
